AP Scores
July 14, 2010
I know that all of you have received your scores, and I can imagine the disappointment and shock of some of you. Please remember that for almost all of you this was your first AP experience. I hope that this inspires many of you to do better on your AP U.S. History course next year. I wish all of you the best in the next school year, it was a joy to be your teacher. I’ll be at Otay Ranch next year, but you’ll still be my first & favorite AP experience!
Good Luck!
Ms. V
P.S. If you do not have your score, please email me and I can tell you.

Good luck & I’ll see you in a few days!
AP Portfolio
May 14, 2010
In the AP Portfolio you will be creating a website of your experiences this past year and what you have learned. You will be reflecting on the standards, your effort, and how this AP course has shaped your future educational experiences. The following website will help you to set up your website and guide you through the entire process. Please go to the “Tutorials” tab. It will guide you through setting up an account and how to post content. This will be done in the next two weeks, and will be turned in to me via email.
If you have any questions email me:

Chapter 40 Assignment
April 20, 2010
View the video on Mr. Rodriguez’s website to get an idea of what your presentation should look like. You may do this in groups of 2-3 or independently. This is all due to the fact that we will not be able to discuss chapter 40 in length. As a result, you will be completing a short presentation. View the video for more details. You will create a 5 minute narrated presentation like the one below, only you will choose one of the following topics from Chapter 40. You will have until Friday to get this done. You will find the details you need (although they are also on the video), and a presentation of Chapter 40 Section 1 – in case you need a review of Globalization.

I also suggest that you sign up for an account on Sparknotes to take practice AP exams. They will help you study for the final test next month. There are a couple that are wrong, see if you’re good enough to find out which ones! This will tell you what you need to study or review from past units. I highly recommend that everyone do this and then spend some time reviewing the past concepts.
